Jackye Maxey, President
Rick Maxey, CEO
Jackye Maxey worked in the public sector for 35 years, including on appropriations committees in both chambers of the Florida Legislature, the Office of Planning and Budgeting for three Governors, budget office of the State University Board of Regents, administrator in the Florida Department of Education, multiple leadership positions for Florida A&M University (budget chief, HR director, auxiliaries director, lobbyist). Jackye ended her public sector career in an integral role in the development and opening of Florida’s 12th public university where she led the implementation of the university’s enterprise resource planning system. She also served as Chief of the Bureau of Finance and in the State of Florida Comptroller’s Office. She continues to hold leadership positions at the executive and board levels of several community organizations. Jackye received her Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Florida A&M University.
Rick Maxey has close to 35 years of experience working in Florida government in a variety of leadership positions for multiple agencies. He also successfully launched and operated three for profit companies as CEO and President. As the lobbyist for Florida Polytechnic University and the University Board of Governors he led efforts that prevented Legislative elimination. Rick was also lobbyist for Florida LambdaRail, providing fiber optic services. Maxey also served for more than a decade in the Florida Department of Law Enforcement in various leadership positions including Sr. Lab Analyst, Sr. Executive Assistant to the Commissioner and Agency Liaison to the Florida Cabinet. As Chief of Training he regulated instruction at 39 academies in Florida for more than 72,000 officers in 400 agencies. At the Florida Department of Corrections Rick was responsible for training 25,000 employees. Rick holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from Florida State University and a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Troy University.
